About the role

Golf Shop Attendant The Golf Shop Attendant operates a point-of-sale system to sell merchandise, greens fees, and food and beverage.
Responsibilities include: Handling cash transactions for greens fees, merchandise, and food and beverage in conformity with Park District policies and procedures relating to cash handling. Assisting customers with merchandise selection. Providing outstanding customer service to all guests. Receiving visitors' complaints and resolving complaints when possible. Informing supervisor of unresolved complaints. Keeping direct supervisor promptly informed of key/significant issues or concerns. Carrying out duties and responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner to maintain a safe work environment and surrounding area for oneself, co-workers and public. Responding to hazardous situations and/or potentially unsafe conditions by taking corrective action as capable and promptly notifying supervisory personnel. Performing related duties as assigned or apparent.
Preferred qualifications include: Prior experience in retail or as a cashier. Age 18 or older to handle beer in sealed containers in connection with wholesale or retail sales. Ability to work weekends and holidays. Knowledge of golf. Ability to establish and maintain good public relations with guests. Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy and organization. Ability to work cooperatively with others. Ability to perform with considerable independence and initiative.
Work Schedule: Must be available to work a flexible schedule, ability to work weekends and holidays.
