About the role

The Associate Counsel serves the New York State Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control under the General Counsel, handling complex legal work in alcoholic beverage regulation. Responsibilities include conducting legal research and analysis, representing the agency in administrative proceedings, supervising attorneys and support staff, drafting legal opinions, and providing strategic legal guidance to agency executives.
