About the role
Tax Manager | Nashville | $140K–$155K + Bonus Synergy Search is partnering with a growing company in Nashville to find a Tax Manager ready to make the leap from public accounting into a corporate seat with real room to build and lead.
The Opportunity:
This is a great fit for a Senior or Manager currently in public tax who's ready to trade compliance-heavy busy seasons for a broader, more strategic role - one where you can shape process, drive improvements, and grow your career on the corporate side.
What You'll Do:
- Own and manage the company's tax function, including federal, state, and partnership (1065) compliance
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy across the tax function
- Partner cross-functionally with finance and accounting leadership on tax planning and strategy
- Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors as needed
- Help build out scalable processes as the company grows
What We're Looking For:
- CPA required
- Experience with 1065 (partnership) tax returns
- Background in public accounting (Senior or Manager level) with a desire to transition to industry
- Strong process-improvement mindset — someone who sees inefficiency and wants to fix itBased in or willing to relocate to Nashville
- Compensation & Perks$140,000–$155,000 base + bonus
