We are partnered with a leading pharmaceutical packaging manufacturer developing innovative polymer-based primary packaging solutions for global pharma and biotech customers.
About the Role:
The Senior R&D Packaging Engineer will lead the development, validation, and commercialisation of primary pharmaceutical packaging systems, supporting new product launches and packaging innovation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead packaging projects from concept through commercialisation.
Conduct material selection, testing, and validation activities.
Support stability, compatibility, and extractables & leachables studies.
Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing teams.
Drive packaging innovation and continuous improvement.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
5+ years' experience in pharmaceutical packaging R&D or packaging engineering.
Experience with polymer materials such as HDPE, PP, PET, COC, or COP.
Knowledge of primary packaging systems including bottles, closures, syringes, or cartridges.
Experience with packaging validation and GMP-regulated environments.
Understanding of FDA, EMA, USP, and ISO requirements.
Degree in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
