Top law firm in St. Charles, Illinois is growing and looking to add an Associate to their high-profile estate planning team! Attorney will assist clients in estate planning including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney. Their long-term care planning services help clients to maximize private assets, access public benefits, and coordinate care. They can establish guardianship for families of special needs individuals as well as incapacitated adults. Attorney will handle Estate and Trust administration to help their clients secure home and belongings, handle wills and trusts as well as tax matters. They will also assist with probate litigation services to assist clients in settlement mediation and resolving disputes. AND Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the administration of estates and trusts, from inception to distribution.
Collaborate with attorneys and financial professionals to ensure proper legal and fiduciary compliance.
Prepare documentation for probate filings, tax returns, and legal correspondence.
Coordinate asset management and disposition, including communication with financial institutions and beneficiaries.
Monitor and report on trust accounts, ensuring accurate recordkeeping.
Conduct estate planning reviews and address complex administrative matters.
Provide advice and guidance on guardianship practices as needed.
Qualifications:
- 2+years of proven experience in estate and trust administration.
- Strong knowledge of fiduciary regulations and estate planning laws.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.
- Experience with guardianship cases is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications and database systems.
