DRP Transmissions Inc is looking for a skilled Rebuilder to join our team in Massapequa, NY! This is a hands-on opportunity to do what you do best — tearing down, diagnosing, and rebuilding transmissions with precision and expertise. Responsibilities:
Disassemble, inspect, and rebuild automatic and manual transmissions
Diagnose internal transmission failures and identify worn or damaged components
Replace clutch packs, seals, gaskets, bearings, and other internal parts
Perform precise measurements and clearance checks during reassembly
Ensure all rebuilt units meet quality and performance standards before delivery
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Document rebuild processes and parts used for each unit
Requirements:
Proven experience rebuilding automatic and/or manual transmissions
Strong knowledge of transmission components, hydraulics, and valve bodies
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
Proficiency with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
Own tools preferred
