Field Service Generator Technician We are recruiting a high-level Field Service Generator Technician in the Indianapolis, IN area for a well-established power generation service company. The job duties include electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, automatic transfer switches, paralleling and switchgear. Responsibilities: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical, mechanical, electronic, and digital control system issues on a wide variety of mobile generator units. Remove, repair, and replace major components, including starters, alternators, digital controllers, and fuel system elements. Set up, configure, and test generator paralleling systems to ensure seamless multi-unit synchronization and load sharing. Troubleshoot, program, and repair automatic transfer switches (ATS) and integrated mobile switchgear configurations. Perform comprehensive load-bank testing and rigorous quality checks on all mobile assets before deployment back into the field. Accurately document all diagnostic findings, parts used, and repair actions within the shop's maintenance tracking system.
Requirements: 5+ years of generator experience preferred Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical and mechanical systems Ability to be on call required Ability to work weekends
