About the role
Experienced Production Engineers will find a full-time opportunity focused on developing and maintaining the infrastructure for Meta's products and services, ensuring reliability and performance for billions of users while collaborating with top engineers in the industry.
Key responsibilities:
Own and manage back-end services, infrastructure components, and core services critical to Meta's operations
Lead and mentor engineering teams, fostering growth and collaboration while being an escalation contact for service incidents
Write, review, and optimize code for quality and performance, utilizing industry-standard AI tools and developing documentation
Required qualifications:
10+ years of experience in *nix (Linux or another UNIX-like OS) and network fundamentals
10+ years of coding experience in an industry-standard language (e.g., Java, Python, C++, PHP/Hack, Rust, Go)
Experience with Internet service architecture capacity planning and handling urgent capacity needs
Knowledge of common web technologies and Internet service architectures (e.g., LAMP or MEAN stacks, CDN, Load Balancing techniques)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
