Our medical writers combine scientific rigor with creativity to transform complex science into compelling stories and brand messages. Within this team, the Scientific Director ensures the delivery of high-quality scientific content across a broad range of promotional deliverables, including HCP and DTC materials. We’re looking for an enthusiastic Scientific Director to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for: Delivering high-quality scientific content—both by developing it yourself and by overseeing, briefing, and reviewing work from other writers, including freelancers Acting as the scientific expert on assigned accounts—understanding the therapeutic landscape and scientific data, and offering high-level scientific insight and guidance Building strong relationships with clients and serving as a trusted advisor Contributing to scientific strategy on assigned accounts to develop impactful commercial programs Playing an active role in business development—contributing to proposals and pitches, and proactively identifying new opportunities within existing accounts Mentoring and managing medical writers as the team continues to grow We believe a strong interest in science and medical communications, along with the following qualifications, would make someone a great fit for this position: An undergraduate degree in a relevant scientific field is preferred but not essential if the required level of scientific understanding is demonstrated; an advanced degree or PhD is a plus Proven experience in medical writing within a medical communications agency or similar environment Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced settingA strategic mindset and the ability to collaborate closely with colleagues and clients Excellent written and verbal communication skills Cognite’s agency values—Everyone matters; Science at the heart; Entrepreneurial Mindset; True partners; and Doing the right thing—shape how we work every day.
