About the role
Head of Finance / CFOBoynton Beach, FL · Full-time, in-office · $120,000–$150,000 + benefits Veritas Legal Plan sells structured legal protection for people under financial pressure. 15+ years. Multiple affiliated companies. The books, cash, and billing need an owner — not a visitor. This is a hands-on seat. You will work in the file. If you only want board decks and a staff of 30, skip this.You will own- Cash every day across multiple entities and bank accounts - GAAP financials, close, and cleanup of historical data - Case-based billing: completeness, no duplicates, no missed revenue - Banking relationships, transfers, reserves - Company insurance (health, liability, WC, cyber) and renewals - Tax calendar with outside accountants; coordinate actuaries when needed - Reporting the CEO can use to make decisions Must have- 5+ years running finance for a private, multi-entity company (Controller, VP Finance, or small-company CFO) - Cash + operational finance, not only FP&A - QuickBooks and advanced Excel - Evidence you fixed a mess (close, AR, billing, controls) — not only that you “partnered with executives” Strongly preferred- Insurance, Captive Cell, Legal Insurance Plan, or other regulated membership/premium billing - State insurance or statutory reporting (NAIC/FLOIR or equivalent) - CPA or completed MBA - South Florida, in office 9–5 Not a fit**- Shared-services / $10B transformation résumés - Fractional-only if you will not sit here full-time - Title-only CFOs who will not reconcile an account *Veritas Legal Plan, Inc participates in E-Verify in accordance with state regulations.
