About the role
- Repairs, calibrates, and maintains equipment
- Ascertain equipment functions properly and safely
- Reflow high level ICsTroubleshoot and repair ultrasound systems
- Troubleshoot and repair PCBs and power supplies
- Process paperwork according to test results; research new repair techniques
- Read test schedule, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications, wiring diagrams, and schematics to determine testing procedure and equipment to be used
- Calibrates test instruments according to specifications
- Read dials or digital displays indicating electronic characteristics (voltage, frequency, distortion, inductance, capacitance)
- Perform board-level system repairs
- Perform component-level board repairs
- Evaluate PCB, power supply, and system performance
- Perform QA on repaired PCBs, power supplies, and systems
- Specify and source repair parts
- Define and document repair processes
- Document all testing and repair activities
- Assist with ultrasound training as needed
- Perform other related tasks as needed

- Complex computer skills including the ability to interpret error codes, defragment hard drives, replace power supplies, and interpret computer codes required
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel) and networking applications required
- Ability to integrate information from a variety of sources
