Build world-class passenger rail vehicles with Siemens Mobility Siemens Mobility’s Rolling Stock Division in Lexington, North Carolina is the North American leader in manufacturing passenger coaches, locomotives, and light rail vehicles. We are expanding and seeking an Entry-Level Electromechanical Assembler who is ready to learn, contribute, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced production environment.
What you will do: Construct and integrate major railcar modules: roofs, cable harnesses, mounted parts, electrical racks, panels, and systems such as air supply racks and piping. Bond, fit, and align floor panels, window systems, and door assemblies using adhesives and precision tools. Install mechanical features including insulation, sidewall panels, passenger seating, and luggage racks. Route, connect, and terminate electrical wiring harnesses into subassemblies and final connection points. Perform disassembly, modifications, rework, refurbishment, and reassembly as needed. Interpret and work from production blueprints, wiring diagrams, parts/wire lists, sketches, and verbal instructions to produce electrical or electro-mechanical subassemblies. Apply strong fine-motor dexterity for assembling small components accurately. Schedule
Shift: Monday – Thursday, 5:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Qualifications: High school diploma or state-recognized GED; or equivalent education/experience in manufacturing or related fields such as electrical panel assembly, construction, automotive, or electrical service. Basic English communication (written and verbal).Ability to read blueprints/diagrams and navigate parts lists is helpful.
Physical requirements: Frequent walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Frequent climbing of stairs, steps, and ladders. Regular work on elevated platforms and overhead. Occasional lifting/moving up to 40 lbs. Visual acuity needs: close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus.
Compensation and benefits:
  • The hourly rate for this position in Lexington, NC is $17.00 – $20.91. The hourly rate may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.11 paid holidays and 18 PTO days.401(k) with 6% company match.
