About the role

Build the off-chain protocol that powers Crebit's FX hedges: quote engine, lock state machine, settlement orchestrator. You'll design APIs that fintech customers integrate, the matching logic that pairs liquidity, and the queueing primitives that keep everything safe under load.
About the role: We're a small team building the FX layer that powers cross-border money for fintechs, neobanks, and consumers in 10+ countries. You'll be early: your code will be in production within your first two weeks. You might be a fit if You've built production financial systems, exchange, payments, or treasury infra. You read TLA+ for fun (or at least know when to reach for it). You think in invariants: "this number should never go negative, here's why." You've worked with Solana RPC or Geth/Reth internals at some point.
What you'll do: Own the rate-lock state machine across quote / lock / settle / expire / refund. Build the liquidity matching layer that pairs hedge requests with our book. Ship Go or Rust services that hit p 99 Design the public REST + webhook API our fintech customers use. $250K + equity, plus generous early equity. Full health, dental, and vision (US-based hires). $2,000 annual learning budget. Cow Hollow office, SF, lunch + dinner provided.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
