About the Role: Harvey is hiring a Forward Deployed Finance Engineer focused on real estate to run pilots, build workflow templates, and translate real estate investment work into production-ready, AI-enabled solutions for deal teams. The role combines domain expertise in underwriting and diligence with customer-facing demo, onboarding, and product-shaping responsibilities.
Job Description: Role The Forward Deployed Finance Engineer (Real Estate) is the first dedicated finance engineer for Harvey’s real estate practice. You will build the real estate playbook - demo library, workflow templates, and use cases - run live pilots, lead customer onboarding, and translate real-world deal work into repeatable, productized solutions within Harvey Deals.
Key Responsibilities: Lead discovery, demos, pilots, trainings, onboarding, and custom builds alongside Account Executives and Customer Success Managers. Run pilots and build screening, underwriting, diligence, and investment committee workflows in clients’ templates and formats. Perform deal-side work such as OM and broker package review; rent roll and T-12 normalization; lease and estoppel abstraction; ARGUS and acquisition model builds; third-party report review; comps; loan document and term sheet review; and investment committee materials. Bring acquisitions-team feedback into the product to shape the roadmap and ensure releases meet investment teams’ needs. Support post-close work including asset management reporting, loan compliance, and valuation support.
Requirements: 3+ years on an acquisitions, asset management, or real estate credit team at a real estate private equity platform, real estate debt fund, insurer or asset-manager real estate arm, or developer-investor, with demonstrated ownership of live deal work. Deep familiarity with the documents and data that drive real estate investment decisions (OMs, rent rolls, T-12, leases, third-party reports, loan documents, ARGUS and Excel models).Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; comfort with prompting and agentic AI workflows; ability to design repeatable automations for manual processes. Python, SQL, or experience building internal tools is a plus. Executive presence and relationship-building skills across junior to partner-level stakeholders. Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable leading live demos and workshops. Customer-facing experience and a practical, solutions-oriented mindset with a bias toward action. Compensation$254,600 - $381,800 USD OTE (75/25) TravelExpect to travel approximately 2-3+ times per month, typically for 1-3 days per trip.
