About the role
Medical Screener We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Medical Screener. The Medical Screener plays a vital role in donor eligibility by conducting health screenings, performing medical tests, and ensuring donor safety and comfort throughout the process. Responsibilities include greeting and interviewing donors, verifying identification, recording health information, and performing vital sign measurements in accordance with SOPs and regulatory requirements. Ideal candidates will excel in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and a commitment to safety and confidentiality. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential to providing a positive donor experience. This position reports to the Center Manager.
Responsibilities:
Perform donor screening procedures in accordance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
Conduct health history interviews and measure vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, weight) to assess donor eligibility.
Verify donor identification and accurately document information in the electronic system.
Greet and engage donors to provide a positive and comfortable experience.
Adhere strictly to infection control, safety protocols, and donor confidentiality.

What You'll Bring
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Experience: Previous plasma experience is a plus.
Skills:
Proficient in computer skills for data entry and electronic record management.
Attributes: Strong attention to detail, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, adaptability, problem-solving abilities, composure under pressure, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Physical Capabilities: Comfortable working around whole blood, blood plasma, and bio-waste.
