A growing manufacturing company is seeking a Design Engineer to join a talented, collaborative engineering team designing high-precision mechanical components and custom systems used in advanced manufacturing applications. This is a great opportunity for a mechanical designer who enjoys hands-on engineering, precision machining, and owning projects from concept through production. The engineering team is experienced, supportive and highly collaborative, with plenty of independence and opportunities for professional growth.
What You'll Do: Design custom mechanical components and systems using Solid Works Develop precision-machined components for CNC mill and lathe applications Create and interpret detailed manufacturing drawings using GD&TWork closely with manufacturing to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable Support assembly, fit checks, quality issues and troubleshooting on the shop floor Own projects from initial concept through completion with limited supervision Collaborate with a talented engineering team on custom, made-to-order products What We're Looking For 3–5+ years of mechanical/machine design experience Strong Solid Works experience designing machined components, equipment, tooling or electro-mechanical assemblies Working knowledge of GD&T and complex mechanical drawings Understanding of CNC machining processes, particularly mills and lathes Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturability Self-motivated, goal-oriented and comfortable taking ownership of projects Preferred Experience with CNC machining or setup Background in custom machinery, tooling, fixtures or precision workholding Mechanical Engineering degree preferred, but strong hands-on experience can substitute Experience supporting assembly, fit checks and shop-floor troubleshooting Why Join?$80K–$95K salary Annual profit sharing — potentially several thousand dollars 3% annual cost-of-living salary increase Great culture with a close-knit, experienced engineering team Significant autonomy and ownership over your projects Hands-on work with high-precision mechanical components Opportunity to grow your engineering career in a stable, established manufacturing environment If you're a mechanical designer who wants to build real, precision-engineered products and work alongside engineers who genuinely enjoy what they do, this is a great opportunity to consider.
