Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose, maintain, and repair American and Asian vehicles, including a variety of mechanical and electrical systems. Perform advanced automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting based on technician experience and skill level. Complete thorough Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) using Bolt On inspection software. Perform routine automotive maintenance, including oil changes and preventive maintenance services. Complete assigned automotive repairs efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship. Document vehicle conditions, diagnostic findings, recommended repairs, and completed services accurately. Communicate effectively with service advisors and fellow technicians to support efficient shop workflow. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while contributing to a productive team.
Qualifications:
A-Level Technicians: At least 6 years of professional automotive repair experience, including strong advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. B-Level Technicians: At least 4 years of professional automotive repair experience, with some diagnostic experience and a willingness to continue developing diagnostic skills. Demonstrated ability to complete automotive repairs efficiently and consistently produce quality work. Experience performing Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) and documenting repair findings. Computer proficiency and the ability to work with automotive shop software. Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills, with demonstrated reliability and follow-through. ASE certifications are a plus; willingness to pursue additional ASE certifications is expected.
Compensation & Benefits:
Flat-Rate CompensationA-Level Technicians: Starting at $40.00 per flagged hour, with rates up to $47.50 based on certifications. B-Level Technicians: Starting at $35.00 per flagged hour, with rates up to $42.50 based on certifications. Additional $0.50 per flagged hour for each qualifying ASE certification. Additional $1.00 per flagged hour for qualifying ASE L-series certifications. A-Level earning potential of up to $100,000 annually. B-Level earning potential of $80,000 annually. Biweekly pay schedule. Annual earnings are potential amounts, not guaranteed compensation. Actual earnings depend on flagged hours, productivity, applicable certifications, and the flat-rate pay plan.

Consistent Automotive Repair Workflow With approximately 65 vehicles coming through the shop each week, technicians work in an established repair environment servicing American and Asian vehicles. The shop uses Mitchell 1 for shop management and Bolt On for Digital Vehicle Inspections. Technicians can also increase their flat-rate compensation by earning additional qualifying ASE certifications.
