Business Unit President
About the Company:

About the Role:
The Company is seeking a Business Unit President to lead its commercial paving and concrete contracting business. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall business, including P&L, people, operations, and sales-to-operations alignment. This role demands a leader with a strong background in self-performing commercial paving or a closely related contracting business, who can guide the company through a leadership transition and its next stage of growth. Key responsibilities include strengthening field leadership, developing emerging leaders, and preserving a relationship-oriented, people-first culture while preparing the business to scale. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach, deep knowledge of asphalt paving operations, and experience in concrete operations. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, and the candidate should be committed to safety, quality, and employee development. The role requires a leader with a track record of building operating capacity, improving execution, and the ability to balance customer and sales priorities with operational realities. The candidate should be a credible leader with the ability to assess work, coach, and engage with crews. Strong financial judgment, communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional partnership skills are essential. The Business Unit President will also be expected to partner with the current President on sales, customer relationships, and market development, ensuring that growth commitments align with operational capacity. The position is ideal for a strategic business leader who is confident, calm under pressure, and comfortable with a commercially strong incumbent leader. The company values a long-term, relationship-oriented, and people-first culture, and the role offers the opportunity to shape the organization and develop leaders within a growing business. Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
