Overview: Flexi/PRNAs an Ophthalmic Tech with Sentara, you will be r esponsible for the performance of procedures for the diagnostic and treatment of ophthalmic disease. With the Manager of the Eye Center for Sight, the Technician/Technologist will coordinate patient care to meet the expectations of the patients and staff. Along with the completion of technical procedures, the Technician/Technologist will manage clinics as assigned. Responsible for providing assistance to the Eye Center staff and Ophthalmology residents. Education Trade School Graduate- Ophthalmic Technologist Certification/Licensure Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQICertified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) - Certification - IJCAHPO (International Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology) Experience 1 year of ophthalmic experience required. The base pay range for full-time employment is $28.58 - $42.90 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
