About the role
Providing specialized financial aid advising for graduate online programs, the full-time Financial Aid Counselor will guide students through federal, state, and institutional aid processes while ensuring compliance with regulations in a virtual environment.
Key responsibilities:
Serve as the primary financial aid contact for graduate students enrolled in online programs
Advise students on eligibility, application processes, and financial aid options, including loans and scholarships
Process and review financial aid applications and maintain accurate student records within the financial aid management systems
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
1-3 years of experience in financial aid administration
Working knowledge of federal Title IV financial aid programs, particularly for graduate-level loans
Experience with student information systems and financial aid management software
Strong ability to explain complex financial information clearly and compassionately
