Office AdministratorThe Office Administrator must have a varied background to perform a wide range of duties throughout their shift. Responsible for recruitment, onboarding, time and attendance, compliance, employee relations, exit interviews, support team building events, training, safety, comfortable in a manufacturing environment, and clerical duties. Demonstrates the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism at all times.Essential FunctionsEnsure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulationsAdminister all steps in the recruitment processes from job posting openings, screening resumes, phone screens, and setting up interviewsAssist in timekeeping accuracy and completeness that will ensure proper payrollAssist in attendance trackingManage employee uniform program per guidelinesAssist in conducting training as needed (Harassment, cell phone, video training on safety itemsAssist management in a variety of clerical and data entry tasks.Escalate matters of concern or when issues are not being resolved locallyEnsure employee records are accurate and up to dateCoordinate employee badges and ensure terminated employees are removed from the system promptlySpend half of the day working on the production floorOther duties as assignedQualificationsStrong clerical and office administration knowledge in planning, recruitment, and safetyBetter than average written and spoken communication skillsOutstanding interpersonal relationship-building skillsStrong collaborative skills, able to work with various departments and a diversity of employeesAbility to effectively work under pressure and meet deadlinesExercise sound judgment and decision-making skillsApproachable and professional, while maintaining the highest standards of confidentialitySolid problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively handle multiple tasks at one timeWell organizedFlexibility to adjust to the needs of the businessAdherence to the attendance policySupervisory ResponsibilityThis position does not have supervisory responsibilities.Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment and a steel-and-aluminum warehousing plant. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, including computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.Physical DemandsThe employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
