About the role
- Ability to work Tuesday - Saturday
- Direct and coordinate bilingual Religious Education and Faith Formation programs (including but not limited to Bible Camp).Coordinate preparation for First Reconciliation, Confirmation, and First Holy Communion according to the Restored Order in the Archdiocese of Denver.
- Implement sacramental preparation program and approved catechetical resources with Pastor.
- Coordinate OCIA and sacramental preparation for adults, children, and youth entering the Church or completing their Sacraments of Initiation.
- Recruit, train, support, and accompany catechists and volunteers.
- Provide formation and support for parents as the primary educators of their children in the Catholic faith.
- Work closely with the Pastor and clergy regarding sacramental readiness, interviews, retreats, Confessions, rehearsals, rites, and sacramental celebrations.
- Communicate clearly and pastorally with families in both English and Spanish.
- Provide welcoming pastoral accompaniment to our Spanish-speaking, immigrant, and multicultural families.
- Maintain accurate registration and attendance.
- Maintain all sacramental records and notations.
- Develop and coordinate the annual Faith Formation calendar.
- Collaborate closely with Annunciation Catholic School regarding sacramental preparation and family faith formation.
- Ensure compliance with Archdiocese of Denver Safe Environment requirements.
- Participate in parish staff meetings, major parish celebrations, and the broader pastoral life of Annunciation.
- Coordinate, Manage and record all Baptismals.
- Manage Sacramental Certificates: Baptismal, First Communion and Confirmation.
- Attend AOD meetings and trainings pertaining to job.
