This would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in thermal and structural analysis of advanced reactor components looking to further their career in new nuclear technology. Perform thermal and structural analyses for microreactor systems using advanced FEA tools (ANSYS, COMSOL, Abaqus)Conduct heat transfer and thermal stress evaluations under steady-state, transient, and accident-condition scenarios Support mechanical design activities including component sizing, material selection, and design verification Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and technical presentations Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on design reviews and technical problem-solvingESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline (Master's preferred); 5+ years of engineering experience Proven expertise in heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and structural analysis with experience in thermal-fluid systems, pressure vessels, and high-temperature components Strong computational analysis skills with demonstrated experience in FEA tools such as ANSYS, COMSOL, or AbaqusBONUS QUALIFICATIONSExperience with advanced reactor systems, HTGRs, or microreactors Familiarity with ASME codes and standards Programming experience in MATLAB, Python, or similar tools for engineering analysis Experience preparing technical documentation for regulatory reviewWHY AVERRO?Averro is a veteran-owned staffing and solutions firm connecting top talent with cutting-edge companies.
