About the role
- At least five years of quota-carrying B2B sales experience, including at least three years within the past five directly selling customs brokerage and/or international ocean or air freight-forwarding services
- A documented record of personally sourcing and closing net-new U.S. importer or beneficial cargo owner accounts
- Full-cycle ownership from initial outreach through pricing, negotiation, close, and implementation
- Working knowledge of freight and customs pricing, service levels, operational fit, margin, and shipper buying processes
- Strong discovery, negotiation, executive presentation, and disciplined CRM-management skills
- U.S. location and legal authorization to work in the United States Preferred Experience
- Transpacific ocean or air trade lanes
- Bundled customs brokerage, freight forwarding, drayage, and trade-compliance solutions
- Enterprise importer or beneficial cargo owner accounts
- Gross-profit-based quotas, pricing, and margin management What You Will Have
- Open territory across U.S. importers and shippers, with priority on transpacific trade
- A modern CRM, trade data, and prospecting resources
- Support from experienced Customs, Compliance, Pricing, Operations, Product, and Engineering teams
- Customer-facing booking, visibility, documentation, milestone, and exception-management technology
- AI-enabled customs tools that can be demonstrated during discovery
- Direct access to company leadership
- Documented house accounts and clear CRM-based opportunity ownership Compensation and Account Economics
- Base salary: $125,000
- Target Year 1 OTE: $175,000–$200,000
- Commission: Uncapped and based on collected gross profit
- Target production: $500,000–$750,000 in net-new collected gross profit, based on experience and ramp stage
- Commission schedule: Shared in writing during the interview process
- Existing book transition: Candidates with a verifiable book of business may be eligible for a three-month commission advance, with final terms documented in the written compensation plan Benefits and Logistics
