Sr Project ManagerAtlanta, Georgia, United StatesAbout the Job Sr Project ManagerJob Description 2: Senior Project Manager FinanceLocation: Atlanta, GA Employment Type: FTE (Full-Time Employee) Eligibility: USC/GCPosition PurposeThe Senior Project Manager (Finance) oversees multiple cross-functional project teams to deliver medium- to high-complexity projects within time, budget, and scope constraints. This role manages 3-6 projects concurrently, including low-complexity programs, and ensures alignment with organizational objectives. The Senior PM assembles teams, develops work plans, manages resources, and ensures vendor deliverables meet contractual obligations. They track milestones, communicate risks, and manage change processes to maintain customer commitments.Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key AccountabilitiesProject Planning & Execution: Manage 3+ medium- to large-scale projects from initiation to completion. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and resource forecasts. Monitor project performance, adjust plans as needed, and resolve issues.Team Leadership: Direct multiple project teams by aligning team member skills with project demands. Communicate project goals, coordinate team activities, and provide performance feedback.Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks across projects. Establish contingency plans, manage dependencies, and recommend risk mitigation strategies.Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with internal customers, vendors, and senior management. Ensure alignment and buy-in for project goals and deliverables.Compliance & Reporting: Adhere to enterprise project management practices. Track and report key metrics, gather lessons learned, and communicate feedback to stakeholders.Preferred QualificationsExperience: 6+ years of project management experience, including 8+ years in IT or related business fields. 3-5 years of experience in project life cycle methodologies.Domain Expertise: 8+ years of experience in Finance-related projects (e.g., Accounting, Treasury, FP&A, Tax).Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Project) and SharePoint.Soft Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
