Bonus: Up to 15%A Japanese automotive products manufacturer is seeking aJapanese-English bilingual Account Managerto join its Sales team in Novi, Michigan. This position will primarily manage Tier supplier accounts supporting Toyota and Honda-related business, with the potential to support additional automotive accounts in the future. The Account Manager will be responsible for maintaining customer relationships, responding to RFQs, preparing quotations, resolving commercial issues, and identifying opportunities for sales growth.
Responsibilities: Manage and develop relationships with assigned automotive Tier customers Support Toyota and Honda-related customer programs and business activities Identify and pursue new sales and business development opportunities Respond to customer RFQs and coordinate internally to prepare pricing and quotations Handle commercial discussions and resolve customer-related issues Coordinate customer sample requests and follow up on business opportunities Prepare sales forecasts and annual sales budgets for assigned accounts Monitor customer activity, competitors, and industry trends Work closely with Engineering, Accounting, Customer Support, and other internal teams Support resolution of payment, obsolete inventory, and other commercial matters Provide regular sales and account updates to management Support product exhibitions and promotional activities as needed
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering degree preferred Business-level or higher Japanese and English communication skills 5+ years of experience in Sales, Account Management, or a related commercial role Experience working with Toyota and Honda-related automotive accounts or programs Experience working with Tier 1 / Tier 2 automotive suppliers preferred Experience with RFQs, quotations, pricing, and commercial negotiations Technical product sales experience is a plus International business or trading experience is a plus Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft 365
