Position Summary:
The VP, Digital Marketing & Growth is responsible for defining and leading Ellis Brooklyn’s digital growth marketing across owned and paid digital channels, with strategic input on our earned paid digital as well. This leader will shape how digital capabilities, customer experiences, and ecommerce opportunities drive business growth, customer acquisition, retention, and brand relevance. Reporting to the CEO-founder, the VP, Digital Marketing & Growth will oversee Ellis Brooklyn’s digital ecosystem. This role serves as the senior-most digital leader responsible for establishing a unified vision across all digital touchpoints, ownership over digital revenue, identifying future growth opportunities, and building the capabilities required to support Ellis Brooklyn’s next phase of scale. The ideal candidate combines strong commercial acumen, perform and drive to budget/goal, customer-centric thinking, and digital innovation expertise. They are equally comfortable setting long-term strategic direction and executing their vision for the company.
Responsibilities:
Define and lead Ellis Brooklyn’s digital strategy and digital commerce performance, ensuring alignment with company growth objectives, customer priorities, and brand ambitions Lead the digital commerce business across dotcom, Tik Tok Shop and Amazon, and responsible for the P/L.Lead the Ellis Brooklyn dotcom business at major retailers such as Sephora and Ulta. Present quarterly results and digital status of the business to the Board. Develop a cohesive vision for how customers discover, engage with, and purchase from Ellis Brooklyn across all digital touchpoints and channels Identify and evaluate emerging digital commerce opportunities, technologies, platforms, and consumer behaviors that can unlock future growth and competitive advantage Understand and oversee CRM, loyalty, paid media, and the digital ecosystem. Define what Ellis Brooklyn’s digital capability roadmap will look like today and the next 3 years, including platform modernization, customer data strategy, personalization capabilities, and future-state digital infrastructure. Hone, source and leverage customer insights, behavioral data, and market trends to inform strategic priorities Develop executive-level reporting and performance frameworks that provide visibility into the health, effectiveness, and growth potential of the broader digital ecosystem Build strong cross-functional partnerships across Wholesale, Brand Marketing, Technology, Finance, and Operations to ensure alignment on strategic priorities and execution Lead, mentor, and develop the digital team while fostering a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement Present digital opportunities and risks as they are incorporated into broader business planning and decision making Stay ahead of industry trends across digital commerce, AI, customer engagement, marketplaces, social commerce, retail technology, and emerging consumer behaviors to ensure Ellis Brooklyn remains innovative and competitive Qualifications 13+ years of leadership experience across digital, commerce, marketing, customer experience, or related functions within beauty, retail, consumer products, or high-growth consumer brands Proven track record of performing to budget and managing P/Ls. Ability to both strategize and execute. Strong commercial and financial acumen with the ability to evaluate growth opportunities, investment decisions, and long-term business outcomes Demonstrated success leading teams and developing high-performing leaders Deep understanding of evolving digital ecosystems, including commerce, marketplaces, social platforms, customer engagement technologies, data strategy, personalization, and emerging technologies Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and align stakeholders across all levels of an organization and present to the Board. Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to connect customer insights, market trends, and business objectives into actionable plans Bachelor’s degree required. Compensation The anticipated compensation range for this position is $215,000 - $250,000, based on qualifications, experience, skill set, and other business-related factors. This position also features a bonus tied to performance and has the potential for company equity.
