About the role

sul is building the future of food — making personalized meals scalable through technology and automation. We’re looking for an exceptional marketer to work closely with the founding team and help build sul into something people know, trust, and love. This is not a traditional marketing role. You’ll have significant ownership over how we grow, tell our story, and show up in the world. What You’ll OwnDrive organic growth. Find and execute ways to grow awareness, engagement, and customers. Tell our story. Turn our product, technology, customers, and mission into content people want to follow and share. Build trust. Clearly communicate what makes sul different and why customers should care. Shape the brand. Influence how sul looks, sounds, and feels across content, events, partnerships, and the product. Experiment. Move quickly, measure results, and double down on what works. Know the customer. Understand why people buy, what they care about, and what makes them tell others. Extreme Ownership You’ll have a high degree of autonomy and responsibility. When you own something, you own the outcome — from idea through execution. We expect you to identify problems, make decisions with incomplete information, move quickly, and figure out what’s needed to get the job done. We care about results, not staying inside a narrowly defined job description. Who We’re Looking ForStrongly aligned with what sul is building Highly motivated with a strong bias toward action Excellent instincts for storytelling, content, and brand Able to execute without constant direction Focused on real outcomes, not vanity metrics Willing to do both the creative and unglamorous work required to win If you want a highly structured marketing job where someone else tells you what to do, this probably isn’t it. If you want real ownership in building a brand from the ground up, we want to hear from you. Founding Brand & Growth Lead · San Diego, CA

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
