Automation Engineer – Water Systems & Controls We are seeking an Automation Engineer to support automation and controls for critical water and utility systems within a highly regulated manufacturing environment in Colorado. This position will work closely with SCADA systems, process water systems, reverse osmosis (RO), and automated equipment to ensure reliable operation, monitoring, and control of facility processes. The engineer will be involved in troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving automation systems while supporting the integration of equipment, instrumentation, and control systems. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of automation, controls, process systems, and water treatment.
Key Responsibilities: Support and troubleshoot SCADA and automation systems used to monitor and control facility water systems. Work with process water systems, water purification equipment, and reverse osmosis (RO) systems. Troubleshoot control system issues involving PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, sensors, valves, pumps, and other automated equipment. Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and automation. Support programming, configuration, and modification of automation and control systems. Assist with the integration and commissioning of new equipment and automation systems. Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and other technical teams to resolve equipment and process issues. Support documentation, system changes, testing, and troubleshooting in a regulated manufacturing environment. Participate in automation projects involving upgrades, system improvements, and new equipment installations.
