About the role
We are seeking an experienced Manager of Cash & Revenue Accounting to lead the day-to-day accounting, month-end, reconciliation, and controller for cash, revenue, and related balance sheet accounts. The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting leader with strong technical accounting expertise, exceptional analytical skills, and experience managing complex revenue streams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Accounting Manage the monthly revenue close process, ensuring accurate and timely recognition of revenue in accordance with GAAP.Review revenue transactions, contract terms, and accounting treatments to ensure compliance with revenue recognition policies. Analyze revenue trends, deferred revenue balances, and contract-related accounting activities. Prepare and review revenue-related journal entries, reconciliations, and support schedules. Support external audits by providing revenue accounting documentation and analysis. Partner with Sales, Operations, and FP&A teams to improve forecasting accuracy and reporting transparency. Cash Accounting & Treasury Support Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly cash accounting activities. Review bank reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items. Maintain cash accounting controls and monitor cash-related transactions. Support cash flow reporting, forecasting, and treasury initiatives. Leadership & Process Improvement Manage and develop accounting staff responsible for cash, billing, and revenue processes. Establish and maintain effective internal controls over revenue and cash-related activities. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, automation, and reporting efficiencies. Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline order-to-cash and revenue accounting processes. Assist with accounting policy development and implementation. Financial Reporting Prepare and review account reconciliations and monthly balance sheet analyses. Support quarterly and annual financial statement preparation. Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and SOX requirements, if applicable. Deliver meaningful financial insights and recommendations to accounting leadership. Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.5+ years of progressive accounting experience.2+ years of supervisory or management experience. Experience in a large, multi-entity or high-volume transaction environment. Strong experience with revenue accounting and cash management processes. Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting. Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools. Advanced Excel skills. Preferred Public accounting background.
