About the role

Help create the experiences people remember for the rest of their lives.
What You'll Do: • Plan educational trips, college visits, camping, fishing, horseback riding, ATV experiences, boating and nature outings • Organize sporting events, amusement parks, museums and concerts • Identify destinations, transportation, group pricing and sponsors • Handle logistics — food, schedules, safety requirements and headcounts Who This Is For Travel agents, event planners, teachers, scout leaders, coaches, camp staff, outdoor guides, logistics professionals and organized people who love planning a great day. Time Commitment Flexible, project-based. Fully remote planning; attendance optional. Why It Matters For many of the young people we serve, these are firsts — first campfire, first college campus, first time on the water. Firsts are what open a mind. About Voices of Variety Voices of Variety (VOV) is a Chicago-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2007 by Jasen Brown. Our work is prevention. We create positive outlets — sports, music, the skilled trades, entrepreneurship, mentorship, adventure and community service — so that violence and crime never get their opening. Every volunteer here is a Builder, a Protector or a Transformer. Bring what you already have.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
