About the role

School Bus Driver Provide transportation for activity and athletic events as needed. Part time hours normally will be in the afternoon/evening. Paid training provided to obtain your CDL.
Essential Job Functions: Provide transportation in accordance with District policy and procedure as well as local, state and federal laws and regulations. Follow designated routes accurately, in accordance with time schedules and stops. Conduct safe and orderly loading and unloading of students. Maintain order and discipline on the school bus at all times. Perform routine operator maintenance to including but not limited to: pre/post inspections, sweeping interior, wiping upholstery, cleaning windshields, reporting equipment defects and presenting bus for maintenance. Participate in all training pertaining to the job. Report all accidents immediately to the Transportation Supervisor or designee. Complete and submit daily mileage, student conduct/incident or other reports and documentation as required. Keep and handle all student information in a confidential manner. Maintain route books, keep organized with current information. Operate a school bus or other district vehicles safely at all times. Participate in all required drug and alcohol testing. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Operate vehicles during inclement weather. Complete all safety training as required. Perform other duties as assigned.
