About the role

Surge is an AI-first software and data company serving the wholesale mortgage lending space. We run Partner 360, a partner relationship management platform with a ten-year production history and a six-year zero-outage record, built on proprietary mortgage-industry data that nobody else can assemble. We recently entered a new chapter under new ownership, and we are building the team that takes us through our next phase of growth. We are hiring an Account Executive with real mortgage industry depth to own new business. This is a seat for someone who knows how wholesale lenders and their third party originators actually operate, can speak credibly to operations and compliance leaders, and can carry a number. You will become a core member of our sales team, with room to shape how we sell. What You Will Own New Business Own a pipeline of wholesale lenders and mortgage originators from first conversation to close Run discovery that gets to the real operational and compliance pain, not just the surface ask Build and deliver demos and proposals that connect Surge to the buyer's business Hit and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets Mortgage Credibility Be the person in the room who understands the customer's world: wholesale, TPO, licensing, and compliance Translate how a lender runs its business into a clear case for Surge Bring market intelligence back to product and leadership Cross-Functional Work Partner with implementation and product so what you sell can be delivered Work with leadership on pricing, terms, and deal structure Keep clean records of pipeline, forecast, and activity
What We Are Looking For: 5+ years of B2B sales experience, with meaningful time selling into the mortgage industry Deep understanding of wholesale lending, third party origination, or mortgage compliance A track record of carrying and beating a quota Experience selling software or data products strongly preferred Comfortable selling to operations, compliance, and executive buyers Highly organized, with disciplined pipeline and forecast habits A real appetite for AI tools and modern selling workflows
Who You Are: A closer who also plays the long game on relationships Credible with mortgage professionals because you have lived in their world Comfortable building the playbook where little exists yet Direct, responsive, and trusted by the people you sell to Curious about the product and the industry, not just the deal
Compensation and Benefits: Target on-target earnings of $300,000 to $350,000, split roughly evenly between base salary and variable commission (final structure based on experience) 401(k) Health, dental, and vision insurance Unlimited PTO Fully remote team Work Location Remote, United States. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, disability, sexual orientation, national origin, or any other category protected by law.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
