Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site Account Executive role based in Phoenix, AZ. The Account Executive is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of retail and foodservice accounts, including maintaining regular contact with buyers, store managers, and distributors. Daily tasks include visiting customer locations, presenting product lines, securing orders, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring proper merchandising and placement of products. The role also involves analyzing sales performance, identifying growth opportunities, preparing account plans, and collaborating with internal teams such as logistics, marketing, and finance to meet customer needs. The Account Executive will handle contract negotiations within defined guidelines, resolve service issues, and represent the company at trade shows, store events, and market visits as needed.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in account management, sales, or business development within food, or related industries. Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and customer service skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities. Proficiency in using CRM software, spreadsheets, and presentation tools to track performance and prepare reports. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver product presentations and explain pricing and programs clearly. Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel locally in the Phoenix, AZ area to visit customer locations. Ability to work independently on-site, demonstrate sound judgment, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Familiarity with grocery retail operations, merchandising standards, and category management concepts is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
