This role is responsible for processing regular and overtime payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and applicable laws. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining employee payroll records, calculating and entering wage adjustments, handling garnishments, and coordinating payroll taxes and benefit deductions. The Payroll Administrator will collaborate with accounting and HR to reconcile payroll, answer employee questions, and support audits or reporting requests. This role also involves identifying process improvements, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting the overall administrative needs of a construction and utilities-focused workforce.Qualifications Strong skills in Payroll Administration, including end-to-end processing and record maintenance.Knowledge of Garnishments and Payroll Taxes, with the ability to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.Experience managing Employee Benefits and related payroll deductions accurately.Foundational Accounting skills for reconciliations, reporting, and coordination with finance teams.Proficiency with payroll software and MS Office (especially Excel), and comfort learning new systems.High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to confidentiality.Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with field and office staff.Previous experience in construction, utilities, or a similar industry is preferred.Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
