Renewyx has partnered with a national electrical contractor that delivers transmission, distribution, and substation construction projects for utility clients across the country. If you can own a T&D or substation estimate start to finish and take pride in getting the numbers right, this one's worth a look.
Responsibilities: Build complete labor and material cost estimates for T&D and substation projects Evaluate bid specs, drawings, and RFPs to shape accurate estimates Run field takeoffs and quantity evaluations Put together bid submittals, work plans, schedules, and clarifications Get out to job sites for walks and pre-bid meetings Lead the estimate review process with internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications: Estimating experience on transmission, distribution, or substation construction Ability to read and interpret electrical and construction drawings and specs Working knowledge of electrical materials and installation methods Proficient in Microsoft Office Comfortable traveling to project sites for walks and pre-bid meetings Bachelor's in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar preferred; equivalent experience considered Plus Experience mentoring or leading other estimators Familiarity with estimating software such as Accubid Background performing takeoffs across multiple trades, including civil, mechanical, and structural If you like the idea of your estimates shaping real infrastructure, and want to do it somewhere with plenty of work lined up, apply today!
