About the role
- Current Washington State EMT certification (or NREMT with WA reciprocity eligibility)
- Valid Driver's License - must have maintained for 2 years or longer.
- Clean driving record - Over 21 years old - limit of 3 citations in past 36 months or under 21 years old - limit of 1 citation in the past 36 months (DUI and other serious offenses may disqualify candidacy).Current CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
- Ability to work extended shifts, including nights, weekends, and holiday
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in understanding vital signs, including the correct measurement and interpretation of values.
- Capability to operate an oversize vehicle smoothly and safely.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Superb time management capabilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced and occasionally stressful environment.
- Ability to complete comprehensive and billable reports for each patient interaction.
- Prior experience in interfacility transport or 911 response
- Familiarity with ESO or similar ePCR documentation systems
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 75 lbs and perform repeated bending, kneeling, and lifting.
- Ability to bend and stoop, ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time, possess hand-eye-foot coordination and color recognition, good manual dexterity, with the ability to perform all tasks related to Emergency Medical Services Duty.
- May be periods of prolonged sitting in a vehicle and working on a computer.
- Ability to work in varied weather conditions and high-stress environments.
