About the role
GMP TechnicianThe GMP Tech will be responsible for keeping assigned areas within GMP in clean and orderly condition. The tech will work successfully with fellow employees and others while understanding and following instructions, both verbal and written. The individual should be able to explain how to complete a task, using basic communication skills.To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.Comply with safety rules, policies, and proceduresStop at risk behavior of others and selfPerform work assignments in a team with other employeesPerform repetitive tasksMaintain clean work areaTake direction and respond to supervisionCommunicate with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional mannerSupport shift lead in completing punch-list itemsUse proper personal protective equipmentPresent a professional appearance and conductUnderstand customer service and satisfactionUnderstand reporting systems and the environmentPerform repetitive tasks in a GMP environmentPerform sanitization duties to maintain a GMP controlled environmentConsistently follow all customer and SBM SOP's and proceduresRespond to customer requests in a professional mannerFully train in area job functions for specific shift assignment and area classification including walls, floors, windows, wipe-downs, maintenance issue reporting, and shut-down cleaningComplete daily FN logs accurately and completelyMust be trained and be certified in correct gowning procedures for assigned areaComplete all basic training modules and annual qualification trainings per customer Standard Operating ProceduresComplete all safety certifications including chemical safetyAvailable to act as area fill-in in the event of general staff shortageSupport shift lead in completing work orders and internally identified items for assigned areaTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.Education and/ or Experience: High school diploma / GED preferred. 6mo to 1 year of experience preferredCertificates, Licenses, Registrations: CPR/AED/First Aid certification a plus May be required to have a valid driver's license. Completed all safety and task training certification. May be required to be forklift certified.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documentsStrong verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with teamKnowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipmentKnowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient useThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
