About the role
Job Position: Structural Fitter Trainee Location: Violet, LA 70092 Pay Rate: $18.00/hr Shift: Description: Job Duties/Responsibilities Fit, position, and secure structural parts using appropriate tools, such as hammers, levels, and welding equipment. Align, assemble, and weld or bolt structural components to form complete frameworks or structures. Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and adheres to design specifications. Operate cutting, shaping, and measuring tools, including grinders, torches, and saws, to modify or prepare materials as needed. Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and engineers to resolve design or assembly issues. Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to safety regulations and company protocols. Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure proper functionality.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Willing to learn reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints. Experience with hand tools, measuring equipment, and machinery typically used in structural fitting, such as welders, grinders. Strong understanding of safety protocols. Physical ability to lift heavy materials, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods. Attention to detail and ability to work with precision to meet quality standards. Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with other team members. Familiarity with workplace safety standards and practices in industrial or construction environments.
