As a Senior Project Manager at LAUSD, you are the high-level accountability point for some of the most complex construction work in the District.You aren't just tracking progress; you're resolving the high-stakes disputes and disagreements that stop projects in their tracks. You'll be the bridge between the field teams and the District's upper management, providing the functional direction needed for cost control, contract administration, and quality. You'll also be the one coordinating with every major branch of the District—from Environmental Health & Safety to Asset Management—to make sure a project doesn't just get built, but fits into the District's long-term goals.What You'll OwnResolution of complex construction issues and disputes that require high-level negotiation and a deep understanding of the contract.Leadership and performance monitoring of the OARs assigned to your construction projects.Fiscal management of multiple concurrent projects, including verifying payment applications and monitoring variances in the project database.Assessing bid specifications and contract planning to ensure the District's needs are met and the timelines are realistic.Coordinating program activities across District branches like EH&S, Maintenance & Operations, and Technical Support.Developing and recommending internal policies that make the construction process more efficient and effective.
