Job ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Communications manager in crisis & incident response, you will be the first line of defense for the crisis communications team, handling day‑to‑day responses to incidents throughout the organization. You will quickly research issues, formulate communications plans, and secure buy‑in from multiple internal stakeholders. The role requires effective media relations skills, the ability to prioritize under pressure, and responsibility for the media hotline on‑call schedule during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
QualificationsMinimum of seven years of professional communications experience
Capacity to develop compelling messaging with measurable goals
Professional media relations skills with a high degree of confidence working with corporate and commercial press
Government relations experience and ability to advise or train senior leaders
Capability to collaborate with peers and influence without authority
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple competing priorities daily
Team player who collaborates with multiple internal stakeholders to drive results
Strong storytelling mindset with enterprise acumen
Compensation & BenefitsAnnual base salary range: $87,900 - $158,200 (depending on education, experience, certifications, and market). In addition, Target offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
