Retail Sales Associate

Location: New York, NY Type: Contract (approx. 5 months- possible extension)

Compensation: $22.00 Contractor Work Model: Onsite Hours: Flexible availability to work within store operating hours, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays

We're looking for energetic Retail Sales Associates who enjoy engaging with customers and being part of a fun, high-energy retail environment. Whether you're a fan of anime and manga or simply love unique retail experiences and pop-up events, this is a great opportunity to be part of something special.

Responsibilities:

Greet and assist customers with product recommendations and purchases
Operate POS system and handle cash/card transactions accurately
Restock merchandise and maintain organized, visually appealing displays
Keep the store clean, organized, and welcoming
Follow store policies and supervisor direction
Report any issues, concerns, or incidents promptly

Qualifications:

Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
Friendly, outgoing, and dependable with a positive attitude
Ability to multitask and remain on your feet for extended periods
Team player with respect for a diverse customer base
Interest in anime, manga, or pop culture is a plus (not required)
Japanese language skills are a plus
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
