Sr Manager Attribution and Analytics
linqmSan Diego (CA)
About the role
We are seeking a high-firepower Senior Analytics Manager to architect complex data pipelines, build custom attribution models, and lead technical strategy for our largest Enterprise-level client portfolios. In this heavy-engineering role, you will move far beyond off-the-shelf software, writing custom code and deploying tailored Media Mix Modeling (MMM) frameworks to accurately map omni-channel customer journeys.
Role Overview:
As our Senior Analytics Manager, you will bring elite technical firepower to solve the most complex attribution, tracking, and backend data flow challenges for high-scale brands. You are equal parts data architect and client-facing strategist, capable of mapping server-side routing architectures, building custom algorithmic models from scratch, and confidently explaining those technical backends to enterprise executives. You will serve as the final line of technical defense, ensuring absolute data integrity across complex, multi-million dollar ad spend portfolios.
Core Responsibilities:
Custom Modeling & MMM: Build, program, tune, and maintain custom Media Mix Modeling (MMM) frameworks and data-driven attribution systems from scratch rather than relying solely on packaged SaaS platforms.
Advanced Tracking Architecture: Design and deploy sophisticated tracking systems, including advanced Google Analytics 4 (GA4) custom configurations, custom GTM Server-Side networks, and hard-coded Conversions API (CAPI) integrations.
Enterprise Pipeline Engineering: Map, audit, and engineer robust data pipelines from complex client website backends (headless commerce setups, custom ERPs, large Shopify builds) through data lakes to downstream ad ecosystems.
High-Stakes Client Consultation: Lead high-level technical consultation for enterprise clients, translating custom data modeling math, regression analyses, and complex data leakages into clear business-critical strategies.
Technical Root-Cause QA: Serve as the ultimate escalation point for tracking failures, browser privacy updates (ATT/Sandbox), and api breaks, debugging code bases and site backends alongside development teams.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Agency Experience (Strictly Required): 5+ years of dedicated marketing analytics or data operations experience, with a proven track record handling large, multi-million dollar complex client portfolios inside an agency environment.
Mathematical & Custom Coding Acumen: High-level proficiency in SQL, Python, or R to extract data, handle statistical regression, and build custom multi-touch attribution (MTA) or media mix models.
Infrastructure Mastery: Expert-level knowledge of data warehousing (BigQuery, Snowflake), server-side tagging infrastructure, API data flow, and modern cloud architecture basics.
Executive Communication: Exceptional ability to clearly articulate deeply technical concepts, data engineering methodologies, and statistical modeling limitations to non-technical client stakeholders.
Location: Hybrid North County San Diego agency hub.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
