Our digital tools, FTE MicroLearning and Approachable AI, are built to make operational improvement practical at scale.The OpportunityWe are hiring a Business Development Representative to own revenue growth for FTE MicroLearning and Approachable AI across manufacturing, industrial, and operations-heavy environments.This role is for a seller who can run the full cycle, prospecting through close, while building credibility in the field.You will lead discovery, drive urgency, execute demos (with SME support as needed), convert pilots into paid rollouts, and maintain ownership through signature and initial handoff.What You Will DoRevenue Ownership & Deal ExecutionOwn the full sales cycle for FTE MicroLearning and Approachable AI—from prospecting and discovery through demo, proposal, and closeClose new MicroLearning business across manufacturing, industrial, and operations-heavy environmentsDrive urgency and momentum through disciplined follow-up and deal progressionConvert trials and pilots into paid licenses and account expansionsMaintain ownership through contract signature and initial handoff to implementation and customer successOutbound & Pipeline DevelopmentBuild and manage a pipeline through targeted outbound (calls, email, LinkedIn), event follow-up, and relationship-driven outreachCollaborate with Advisors, Managing Directors, and Sales Leadership to identify and pursue high-value opportunitiesProspect into VP Operations, Plant Managers, CI/Lean leaders, HR/L&D, and manufacturing executivesLeverage operational triggers—turnover, safety, scrap, onboarding gaps, or growth initiatives—to tailor outreach and messagingField Selling & Market PresenceAttend and actively sell at manufacturing conferences, industry association events, client site visits, and plant walk-throughsRepresent FTE MicroLearning as a credible, operationally fluent sellerBuild in-person trust to accelerate deal velocity and expansionDiscovery, Demos & Value FramingLead structured discovery to identify performance gaps MicroLearning solves and quantify business impactRun MicroLearning demos (with SME support as needed)Position MicroLearning as a performance system—not just training contentCollaboration & Sales DisciplinePartner closely with the Director of MicroLearning Sales, Managing Directors, and Marketing & Product teams to refine messaging, pricing, and go-to-market strategyMaintain strong CRM discipline in HubSpot, including accurate deal stages, stakeholder mapping, documented decision processes, and clear next stepsMeasured On / Key Performance IndicatorsNew MicroLearning revenue closedPipeline value and conversion efficiencyDeal velocity (time from initial conversation to close)Pilot-to-paid conversion rateExpansion opportunities generatedWhat You Bring:5+ years of successful B2B sales experience, ideally selling digital solutions; experience with training platforms, software, or SaaS is a strong plusProven sales closer with a track record of owning deals end-to-end—not just setting meetingsComfortable selling to senior manufacturing and operations leaders, from plant leadership to the executive levelStrong sales discipline and accountability, with the ability to manage pipeline, follow process, and execute consistentlyWorking knowledge of manufacturing environments, including Lean or Continuous Improvement, plant operations, or frontline workforce challengesConsistent history of meeting or exceeding sales targetsHunter mentality - you enjoy prospecting, building new relationships, and converting cold leads into long-term customersClear, compelling communicator, able to tell a strong story and tailor messaging to audiences ranging from frontline leaders to the C-suiteAt FTE, you'll sell practical digital tools that solve real manufacturing problems that actually get adopted. You'll be on a fast-growing team focused on revitalizing American manufacturing, with a clear line of sight between your deals and measurable customer results. You'll work directly with experienced operational SMEs and FTE leadership to run strong discovery, deliver credible demos, and close deals that expand across accounts.
