About the role
Covering the intersection of climate change and food & agriculture, the temporary, remote Food & Agriculture Reporter will produce 4-5 well-sourced stories per month, focusing on industry emissions, climate impacts on food systems, and relevant policy developments.
Key responsibilities:
Conceive, report, write, and produce stories on climate change and food and agriculture topics
Translate important trends and news for readers, highlighting the impact of a warming planet on everyday lives
Contribute to newsletters and special projects as requested, while collaborating with a team of editors and visual artists
Required qualifications:
At least two years of relevant experience, preferably focused on climate, food, and agriculture
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Professional reporting experience with a track record of covering stories of national importance
Experience finding sharp, provocative angles on current news
Comfort with magazine-style journalism and fast-paced environments
