Financial Associate Duties Prepare, compile, and verify financial data related to accounts payable and accounts receivable Generate reports to monitor and identify problems preventing timely payment Review invoices and assist with processing vouchers Investigate returned checks and take appropriate action Process case service payments Assist customers with account-related questions and resolve any issues A Successful Financial Associate Proficiency in using accounting software, spreadsheets, and other office technologies Ability to analyze financial data, identify problems, and recommend solutions Excellent numerical and analytical skills Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining financial records Effective communication and customer service skills to interpret and concisely explain financial information to vendors and internal stakeholders Knowledge of general accounting Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities does not provide sponsorship for employment-based visas or work authorization. Fiscal Division Overview The Division of Fiscal Management oversees the financial resources of the agency in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies. This includes budget planning, revenue forecasting, expenditure monitoring, and financial reporting. Fiscal staff are responsible for ensuring transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the use of public funds, as well as identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation. They may also be involved in long-term financial planning and analysis to support the agency's mission and objectives. Pay Information Starting salary will be step 1, subject to law or union contract requirements. New hires advance to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. There are cost of living increases to these rates each year and additional longevity supplements begin after 5 years. The current wage progression for this position is in the table below. Location Requirements: Our roles are primarily in-office to encourage collaboration and connection, however some locations may have adjusted on-site requirements based on space availability at this time. Reporting details will be provided by the supervisor before the start date. Employees must reside at a location that allows for reasonable response time to workplace reporting requirements. Background Check The final candidate selected for the position will be required to undergo a criminal background check. Criminal convictions do not necessarily preclude an applicant from consideration for a position.
