About the role
I’m currently working on a confidential opportunity with a leading global financial institution for an Equity Derivatives Trader in New York. The role sits within a sophisticated front-office trading environment, with exposure to equity volatility, derivatives and structured products. The successful candidate will be involved in: Trading and managing derivative positions Volatility and risk management Pricing and execution of complex equity products Market analysis and quantitative modelling Developing and improving trading and risk tools Working closely with Sales, Structuring and other trading teams Supporting broader volatility and relative-value strategies Ideal background: Experience within Equity Derivatives, Equity Exotics, Volatility or a closely related trading function Strong understanding of options and derivatives Quantitative and analytical skillset Experience with Python, VBA, MATLAB, R or similar Strong communication skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced trading environment
