About the role

Seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures, prepare radiopharmaceuticals, monitor patients, and ensure safe and effective operation of imaging equipment. Candidates should have appropriate nuclear medicine certification and New Jersey licensure, with experience in general nuclear medicine procedures preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for nuclear medicine examinations and explain procedures.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.
  • Monitor patients' physical condition throughout examinations and procedures.
  • Operate and monitor nuclear medicine imaging equipment and scanning setups.
  • Perform general nuclear medicine studies such as bone, hepatobiliary, lung, and thyroid scans
  • Maintain patient safety and follow radiation safety and departmental protocols.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and proper handling of imaging and patient information.
Qualifications:
  • ARRT(NM) or CNMT certification required.
  • Active New Jersey State Nuclear Medicine license required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine OR graduation from an approved Radiologic Technology & Nuclear Medicine program required.
  • General Nuclear Medicine experience preferred, including:
  • Bone scans
  • Hepatobiliary (HIDA) scans
  • Lung scans
  • Thyroid scans
  • Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures, equipment, patient care, and radiation safety.
  • Important Details:13-week contract position
  • Shift is 8 hrs/days (8:00 AM - 4 PM), 40 hrs/week
  • Location is Newton, NJ 07860 Pay Range for Local: $65 - $70 per hour
  • Pay Range for Traveler: $2,950 - $3,000 per week
