About the role
We are seeking a motivated and analytical Value Optimization Engineerto drive cost efficiency and technical excellence across our automotive systems. In this role, you will act as a bridge between engineering and finance, utilizing benchmarking and value engineering to optimize components without sacrificing quality or performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Your focus will be on identifying efficiencies and streamlining costs through data-driven analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
Cost Reduction & Strategy: Identify and champion cost-saving opportunities across various vehicle systems and components. Benchmarking & Analysis: Lead teardown analyses and competitive studies to understand industry trends and competitor cost structures. Idea Generation: Facilitate value optimization workshops with internal engineering teams and external suppliers to brainstorm high-impact savings. Design-to-Cost (DTC):Support standardization and DTC activities to ensure cost targets are integrated early in the design phase. Project Reporting: Present detailed subsystem-level optimization results and project status updates to stakeholders. Systems Management: Maintain and manage critical engineering tools and databases, including eVOS, MCM, and benchmarking repositories.
