Job Title: Senior macOS L2 Support Engineer
Location: Tampa, FL (Onsite)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior macOS L2 Support Engineer to provide advanced technical support, macOS administration, software deployment, and troubleshooting for Mac devices in an onsite environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in macOS internals, scripting, system configuration, and resolving complex technical issues beyond standard troubleshooting procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Level 2 technical support for macOS devices, including advanced troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Diagnose and resolve complex operating system, application, software installation, and configuration issues.
Develop, execute, and troubleshoot scripts used for system administration, automation, and device management.
Perform software installation, deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting on Mac devices.
Troubleshoot script failures, automation issues, and deployment errors independently.
Work at the operating system level, navigating system directories such as /bin and other macOS system paths.
Troubleshoot file system issues, permissions, system processes, and OS-level configurations.
Analyze system logs, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
Support macOS system maintenance, configuration, and performance-related issues.
Document technical findings, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Strong hands-on experience in macOS administration and technical support.
Proven expertise in advanced macOS troubleshooting and operating system internals.
Proficiency in scripting and troubleshooting scripts, preferably using Shell/Bash or Python.
Experience with Mac software deployment, installation, and configuration.
Strong understanding of macOS file systems, permissions, system processes, and directory structures.
Experience troubleshooting automation failures and complex OS-level issues.
Ability to independently diagnose and resolve technical problems with minimal supervision.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with enterprise Mac device management and configuration tools.
Familiarity with macOS command-line utilities, Terminal, system logs, and diagnostic tools.
Experience supporting enterprise Mac environments in an onsite setting.
Note:
Candidates must be willing to work onsite in Tampa, Florida, and support EST business hours.
